De Russische taal is een Slavische taal, die gesproken wordt in Rusland, Wit-Rusland, Oekraïne, Kazachstan en Kirgizië, en die veel wordt gebruikt, hoewel zonder officiële status, in Letland, Estland en veel andere voormalige Sovjetrepublieken.
